Positive Behavior Intervention Support at Lakes

Lakes Elementary is proud to be a PBIS school! PBIS stands for Positive Behavior Intervention Supports. We teach all students our three school expectations: Be respectful, be responsible, and be safe.

In the first months of school, the principals and counselor deliver lessons to each classroom on problem-solving and bullying prevention. Teachers also give lessons on how to stop and think, in order to make good choices in each school setting like the classroom, hallway, and playground.

Be ready to listen and work
Use kind words with classmates

Responsible

Be on time
Put backpack and coat away
Unpack binder / homework and put where needed
Have materials you need and be seated
If late, first go to the office for a late slip & give to teacher
